Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time. A couple years ago Josh and I decided to go to dinner at a little pizza place in Evanston called Union. We sat at the bar because all the tables were full, next to another couple that would soon become some of our closest friends. Josh was staring at this guy’s pizza and the guy turned and asked if he would want a bite. Which made Josh so happy. Josh and Charlie ended up exchanging numbers and as soon as they left, Josh texted him (Josh didn’t learn how to play hard to get) to tell him that the people that took their seats were not as cool as they were. We ended up grabbing dinner with Charlie and Kristi a few weeks later and learned that Charlie and my brother had worked together at the Ellen Show. Such a small world. In the past few years we continue to dine out, go to concerts, celebrate job changes, and now celebrate new a baby on the way. I am so excited for these two. They are going to be amazing parents and I am so glad that there were two seats open next to them at the bar that night.
